.......I stared at a blank document, weighing different possibilities for my second blog entry. Should it be about my two newest stories: ‘Don’t Ask - Don’t Tell’ submitted to The Erotic Woman, and ‘Dirty Old Ladies’ submitted to Tassels and Tales? I could write about the health issues my daughter has been struggling with, and how much better she is doing. It would probably be a good idea to mention how I’m progressing with my first novella ‘Lipstick’, or ‘Passion - Must Always Be Obeyed’, the story I’m submitting for an anthology by the authors at Sapphicplanet.
.......Those are all good ideas, and I will address them in future posts. However, what I’d prefer to write about today, is the importance of friends. Not every body’s friends, but my friends. And not all of my friends, but one friend in particular: Kissa Starling.
.......We’re separated by thousands of miles, but there is no one closer to me. She’s my sister, and my daughter, mentor and writing partner. Her shoulder's always there to cry on, she proofs all my manuscripts, and cracks the whip when I procrastinate. I can count on her to keep her word, and laugh at my jokes.
.......Kissa’s a Southern Belle, a lady and temptress who’s erotic scenes steam up my monitor. She’s an author and a reader, and a teacher with a voracious appetite for knowledge. Just like Santa Claus, Kissa knows when I’m being naughty or nice. Does she drive me crazy sometimes? Yes. Is she an important part of my life? Definitely.
.......Kissa and I know one another’s hearts - we are forever friends.
